Illinois 122 pavement repairs begin Aug. 6

DELAVAN – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that pavement repairs on Illinois 122 between Delavan and Interstate 155 in Tazewell County begins Aug. 6.

The project involves patching, milling and resurfacing and will reduce Illinois 122 to one lane during work hours, with traffic controlled by flaggers, through the end of November.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. To avoid the work area, when feasible, use of alternate routes should be considered. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.
