Inbound Ryan ramp to Roosevelt Road, Taylor Street temporarily closing Nov. 9

CHICAGO – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced today that work by Peoples Gas will require a closure of the inbound Dan Ryan Expressway (Interstate 90/94) ramp to Roosevelt Road and Taylor Street for two weeks beginning, weather permitting, Monday, Nov. 9.

A detour will direct the public to the outbound Eisenhower Expressway (Interstate 290) exit and west to Ashland Avenue to connect to Roosevelt Road and Taylor Street. The work is being overseen by Peoples Gas and expected to be completed by Monday, Nov. 23.

The public should expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to detour signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
