January and February dates set for DBE workshops
SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is hosting free virtual workshops in January and February as part of its continuing Building Blocks of Success series for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) firms interested in strengthening their skills, growing their business, and bidding on state projects. New and existing DBEs, as well as firms interested in becoming certified in the program, are invited.
January and February workshop dates and topics:
- Jan. 14, 10 a.m. to noon: Maintaining Financial Health
- Jan. 16, 10 a.m. to noon: Is My Business Worth Selling?
- Jan. 21, 10 a.m. to noon: Budgeting, Cash Flow Management
- Jan. 23, 10 a.m. to noon: Quickbooks: Setting Up Your Company
- Jan. 28, 10 a.m. to noon: Lending: SBA & Advantage IL
- Jan. 30, 10 a.m. to noon: Overhead Rate Calculations
- Feb. 4, 10 a.m. to noon: Construction: Before Contract
- Feb. 6, 10 a.m. to noon: Construction: During Contract
- Feb. 11, 10 a.m. to noon: Consultants: EPass System
- Feb. 13, 10 a.m. to noon: Construction: Post Contract
- Feb. 18, 10 a.m. to noon: Understanding FHWA Rule Changes
- Feb. 20, 10 a.m. to noon: Roadmap to Success
