Lane closure on eastbound U.S. 150
PEORIA – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that beginning Nov. 10, traffic on eastbound U.S. 150 (War Memorial Drive) will be shifted to the right lane as it approaches the McClugage Bridge.
The lane shift is necessary for pavement replacement in the left lane and is another step in completing the tie-in of U.S. 150 to the new McClugage Bridge. This traffic pattern is expected to remain in place for approximately one month.
This is likely to cause longer than normal delays for both Illinois 29 (Adams Street) and westbound U.S. 150 traffic. Motorists are strongly encouraged to seek alternate routes.
The eastbound McClugage Bridge is being replaced after more than 70 years of serving the Peoria metro area. Scheduled for completion later this fall, the new structure will deliver improved capacity and safety, reduced travel times and bicycle and pedestrian accommodations.
