Lane closure on I-57 in Marion County

SALEM – The Illinois Department of Transportation today announced that one lane in each direction on Interstate 57 will be closed between 0.7 miles north of Illinois 161 and the Fayette County line in Marion County beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, June 22, weather permitting.

​The lane closure is necessary for pavement patching and is expected to be completed by late summer.

Drivers are urged to reduce speed, obey all construction signage, and refrain from using mobile devices while approaching and traveling through the work zone and detour route.
