Lane closures on US 50 in Marion County

SALEM – The Illinois Department of Transportation today announced lane closures on U.S. 50 between Selmaville Road and South Lackey Street beginning, weather permitting, Tuesday, Sept. 2. Flaggers will maintain two-way traffic. The lane closures are necessary to allow for resurfacing operations and are expected to be completed by late September.

Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes during this closure. Drivers are urged to reduce speed, be alert for changing conditions, obey all construction signage, and refrain from using mobile devices while approaching and traveling through the work zone.
