McClugage Bridge lane closures set September 18 and 19

PEORIA – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that the left lane of both eastbound and westbound U.S. 150 on the East Peoria side of the McClugage Bridge over the Illinois River will be closed Wednesday, September 18 and Thursday, September 19.

These lane closures are necessary for the continued construction of the new McClugage Bridge.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. To avoid the work area, when feasible, use of alternate routes should be considered. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.
