McClugage traffic pattern change underway

PEORIA – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that to accommodate ongoing construction in the eastbound lanes of the McClugage Bridge (U.S. 150), traffic patterns in the work zone are changing today, April 22.

The eastbound span will be reduced to one lane, and new traffic shifts will be introduced. Work being done includes barrier wall relocation, pavement removal and resurfacing.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. To avoid the work area, when feasible, use of alternate routes should be considered. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.

Illinois 13 lane closures at Kaskaskia River Bridge begin June 8 in St. Clair County
NEW ATHENS – The Illinois Department of Transportation today announced that lane closures will be in place on Illinois 13 at the Kaskaskia River Bridge north of New Athens in St. Clair County beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, June 8, weather permitting. The lane closures are required for navigation lighting repairs on the bridge and will be in place during daytime hours. Flaggers will maintain two-way traffic. Weekend closure of Ontario Street ramp set for June 12
CHICAGO – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced today that concrete pavement patching to repair the Ontario and Ohio Street ramps to the elevated bridges in Chicago will require a full closure over three weekends alternating between Ontario and Ohio streets. The first closure is scheduled for the weekend of June 12 on Ontario Street.
