One day closure of westbound I-474 to
eastbound I-74 ramp on April 9

PEORIA – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that on Thursday, April 9, the ramp from westbound Interstate 474 to eastbound I-74 will close to traffic for the day. Westbound I-474 also will be reduced to one lane through the work zone.

A detour utilizing Illinois 6 and U.S. 150 is posted. See detour map below.

The closure is needed for unanticipated patching work and is expected to last only one day.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. To avoid the work area, when feasible, use of alternate routes should be considered. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.
