Public meeting for improvements to U.S. 20 at Shales Parkway
CHICAGO –The Illinois Department of Transportation will host a public meeting Wednesday, April 30, on a preliminary engineering and environmental study to improve U.S. 20 at Shales Parkway, in Elgin, Bartlett and Streamwood.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide an overview of the study process, present the proposed preferred improvements and obtain public input. The proposed project includes construction of an interchange at Shales Parkway, along with improvements on U.S. 20, from Shales Parkway to Illinois 59.
The meeting will be in an open-house format. All interested parties are encouraged to attend:

Exhibits will be on display and an audio-visual presentation will be shown continuously during the meeting. Project team members will be present to answer questions. The exhibits and the presentation will also be on the project website at https://www.us20atshalesstudy.org/.
