Public meeting July 15 on improvements to Lincoln Avenue from Niles Center Road to Howard Street
CHICAGO – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced today that a public meeting will be held Tuesday, July 15 on a preliminary engineering and environmental study to improve Lincoln Avenue from Niles Center Road to Howard Street in Skokie.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide an overview of the study process, introduce the proposed improvement alternatives and obtain public input. The study will evaluate the utilization of the existing roadway space to find the most appropriate solution to improve safety, address operational deficiencies and consider improvements to active transportation facilities along the Lincoln Avenue corridor.
The public meeting will be in an open-house format. All interested parties are encouraged to attend:

Exhibits will be on display and an audio-visual presentation will be shown continuously during the meeting. Project team members will be present to answer questions.
