    "body": "<p><strong>FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS</strong> &ndash; The Illinois Department of Transportation today announced ramp openings as well as ramp and lane closures at the Interstate 64 and Illinois 159 interchange in St. Clair County for ramp maintenance work.</p><p>All currently closed westbound I-64 ramps at Illinois 159 are scheduled to reopen by Friday, June 5.</p><p>Starting at 1 a.m. Friday, June 5, the following ramps will close:</p><ul class=\"release-content-list release-content-list--bulleted release-content-list--align-inherit\"><li><span>Southbound Illinois 159 to eastbound I-64</span></li><li><span>Northbound Illinois 159 to eastbound I-64</span></li><li><span>Eastbound I-64 to Illinois 159</span></li></ul><p>In addition, southbound Illinois 159 will be reduced to one lane at I-64 beginning at 1 a.m. Friday, June 5. Two southbound lanes are expected to reopen by 6 a.m. Monday, June 8.</p><p>All eastbound I-64 ramps at the interchange are expected to reopen by 6 a.m. Sunday, June 14, weather permitting.</p><p>This work is part of an ongoing improvement project scheduled for completion in 2027. Additional temporary lane and ramp closures will be required throughout the project, and all traffic impacts will be announced in advance.</p><p>Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes during this closure.
