Bishop Ford at 130th Street ramp closures begin Oct. 13
CHICAGO – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced today that patching on the Bishop Ford Freeway (Interstate 94) interchange ramps at 130th Street will require ramp closures beginning, weather permitting, Monday, Oct. 13.
The closures are necessary to safely complete repairs and pavement patching. The following ramps are scheduled to be closed:
Week of Oct. 13
- Monday, Oct. 13: Westbound 130th Street to eastbound Bishop Ford, for approximately one week.
- Wednesday, Oct. 15: Eastbound 130th Street to westbound Bishop Ford, for approximately one week.
Week of Oct. 20

Monday, Oct. 27
- Eastbound 130th Street to eastbound Bishop Ford, for approximately one week.
The public should follow the posted detours.
The work is subject to change due to multiple factors, including inclement weather. Additionally, it may take more time for the concrete to set and gain sufficient strength before ramps can be reopened to traffic.
The work is anticipated to be completed in mid-November.
The public can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Alternate routes are encouraged. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
