Chinatown feeder ramp temporary lane closures Sunday

CHICAGO – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced today that a routine bridge inspection of the elevated portion of the Dan Ryan Expressway (Interstate 90/94) over the Chinatown feeder ramp to the expressway, in Chicago, is scheduled to take place, weather permitting, Sunday, Aug. 24.

In order to complete the inspection, various lane closures will take place in the outbound direction of the Chinatown feeder ramp approaching the bridge, from 5 a.m. to noon Sunday. At least one outbound lane will remain open at all times.

The public can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
