Cleveland Road to close in Colona Aug. 7

COLONA – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced today that weather permitting, Cleveland Road at the BNSF Railway crossing will be closed beginning Thursday, Aug. 7. The work zone is just east of Illinois 84.

The closure will allow the railroad to repair the crossing. The road is anticipated to be closed for two days. A detour will be posted.

Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zone areas, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.
