Eastbound McClugage lane closure begins Aug. 25
PEORIA – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced closure of the right lane of eastbound U.S. 150 across the McClugage Bridge to East Peoria begins Aug. 25.
The lane closure is necessary for painting the arch on the new bridge and will occur from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily for approximately two weeks. Traffic from Illinois 29 (Adams Street) will merge into the single lane and be controlled by a stop sign.
Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. To avoid the work area, when feasible, use of alternate routes should be considered. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.
