Emergency lane closure on inbound Edens near Skokie Road
CHICAGO – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced today that the two right lanes on the inbound Edens Expressway (Interstate 94) north of Skokie Road exit is closed for emergency repairs.
The necessary repairs are anticipated to be completed and the lanes reopened later this morning.
The public can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
Additionally, IDOT will work with motorists who believe their vehicles were damaged on any highway under state jurisdiction and maintenance.
