Harlem Avenue pavement repairs in Chicago

CHICAGO – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced today that pavement repairs on northbound Harlem Avenue (Illinois 43) from Argyle Street to Carmen Avenue, in Chicago, will require lane closures, weather permitting, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 20 and Thursday, Aug. 21.

Southbound Harlem Avenue will not be impacted and at least one northbound lane will remain open.

The public should expect delays and allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
