I-190 near Mannheim Road bridge inspection Saturday

CHICAGO – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced today that a routine inspection of the Interstate 190 and the Canadian National Railroad bridge near Mannheim Road (U.S.12/45) in Chicago is scheduled to take place, weather permitting, from 6:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 27.

To complete the inspections, lane closures will take place on both sides of I-190 using a moving operation and alternating in both directions. At least one lane in each direction will remain open at all times.

The public can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
