Illinois 113 railroad crossing in Coal City closes Sept. 21

COAL CITY – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced today that Illinois 113 will be closed for repairs at the BNSF railroad crossing in Coal City on Sunday, Sept. 21. The closure will be for approximately one day.

A posted detour will direct eastbound Illinois 113 traffic to use Broadway Street, North Street and First Avenue. Westbound Illinois 113 traffic will use Fifth Avenue, North Street and Broadway Street.

Weekend lane closure on eastbound I-270
PONTOON BEACH – The Illinois Department of Transportation today announced that in addition to the ongoing closure of Illinois 111 at Interstate 270 in Madison County, a weekend lane closure of eastbound I-270 from Illinois 203 to Illinois 111 will begin, weather permitting, at 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19. Improvements at the North Main Street railroad crossing in Wayne City underway
EFFINGHAM – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that North Main Street (Illinois 242) in Wayne City is closed for improvements and repairs at the railroad crossing. Work has begun and is scheduled to be completed at the end of the week.
