Illinois 127 south of Nashville closed to traffic for pavement repairs
COLLINSVILLE – The Illinois Department of Transportation today announced that Illinois 127 south of Nashville in Washington County is closed for pavement repairs.
Motorists should follow the marked detour as follows:
- Southbound traffic: Illinois 127 to eastbound Illinois 15 to southbound U.S. 51 to Oakdale DuBois Road back to Illinois 127.
- Northbound traffic: Illinois 127 to Oakdale DuBois Road to northbound U.S. 51 to westbound Illinois 15 back to Illinois 127.
The repairs are anticipated to be completed and Illinois 127 reopened by Thursday, Dec. 19.
Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changing conditions and all detour signs prior to the work zone, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.
