Illinois 133 lane closures set for Sept. 12 west of Paris

PARIS - The $12.3 million project involves patching, resurfacing and constructing new shoulders from the Coles County line to Illinois 16 in Paris. Additionally, two box culverts near Redmon will be replaced. The project will require daily single-lane closures of Illinois 133 into summer 2025. Temporary traffic signals will be necessary for replacement of the box culverts.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. To avoid the work area, when feasible, use of alternate routes should be considered. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.
