Illinois 154 closure in Perry County begins June 20

PINCKNEYVILLE – The Illinois Department of Transportation today announced that a culvert replacement project will require a weekend closure in both directions of Illinois 154, 1.5 miles east of the Illinois 154/Illinois 150 intersection in Perry County starting, weather permitting, at 6 p.m., Friday, June 20.

A posted detour will be in place to safely guide motorists around the closure. The road will reopen by 6 a.m. Monday, June 23.

Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changing conditions and all detour signs prior to the work zone, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.
