Illinois 29 ramp closure set June 25

PEORIA – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that the ramp from Illinois 29 (Adams Street) to eastbound U.S. 150 (War Memorial Drive) will be closed the morning of Tuesday, June 25, beginning at 4 a.m.

The closure is necessary to allow a pavement patch to be installed on the ramp. Traffic will be detoured onto westbound U.S. 150 to the signalized U-turn area at the North Grand Boulevard intersection. The ramp is expected reopen later that morning.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. To avoid the work area, when feasible, use of alternate routes should be considered. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.
