Illinois 32 in Cerro Gordo to close Sept. 16
CERRO GORDO – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that Illinois 32 (Jackson Street) on the east edge of Cerro Gordo will close Sept. 16.
The closure is necessary for Norfolk Southern to replace its crossing and is expected to last three to five days. A detour will be posted.
Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.
