Kennedy bridge inspection Sunday near Addison Street

CHICAGO – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced today that a routine bridge inspection of the Kennedy Expressway (Interstate 90/94) near Addison Street, in Chicago, will require moving lane closures, weather permitting, from 6 to 10 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 23. The work originally scheduled for earlier this month was postponed due to inclement weather.

To complete the inspection, two-lane moving closures will be utilized in the outbound direction of the expressway’s mainline lanes. A minimum of two lanes will be open at all times.

The public can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
