McClugage lane closure to expand June 19
PEORIA – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that the existing lane closure on the McClugage Bridge (U.S. 150) over the Illinois River in Peoria will be extended the length of the bridge beginning June 19.
The closures will occur from approximately 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day for a week, and traffic from Adams Street (Illinois 29) will be required to yield when merging onto U.S. 150.
Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. To avoid the work area, when feasible, use of alternate routes should be considered. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.
