Morton Avenue I-74 ramp work begins June 16

MORTON – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that pavement patching on the westbound Interstate 74 exit ramp to Morton Avenue in Morton begins June 16. 

The ramp will remain open but with reduced width for about a week. 

Motorists can expect delays and should slow down and allow extra time for trips through this area. To avoid the work area, when feasible, use of alternate routes should be considered. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.
