UPDATE: Northwest Highway full closure in Barrington

CHICAGO – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced today that a project managed by the Village of Barrington will require a full closure of Northwest Highway (U.S. 14) from north of Valencia Road to Hough Street (Illinois 59), in Barrington, for approximately four weeks beginning, weather permitting, Monday, Sept. 15.

Motorists should follow the posted detours. The public can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to detour signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
