Public meeting April 29 on improvements to Gunnison Street from Illinois 43 to Nagle Avenue
CHICAGO –The Illinois Department of Transportation announced today that a public meeting will be held Tuesday, April 29, on a preliminary engineering and environmental study to improve Gunnison Street from Illinois 43, in Chicago, to Nagle Avenue, in Harwood Heights.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide an overview of the study process, introduce the proposed improvement alternatives and obtain public input. The study will evaluate the utilization of the existing road to find the most appropriate solution to improve safety, address operational deficiencies and consider improvements to active transportation facilities along the Gunnison Street corridor.
The public meeting will be in an open-house format. All interested parties are encouraged to attend:

Exhibits will be on display and an audio-visual presentation will be shown continuously during the meeting. Project team members will be present to answer questions.
