Temporary lane closure on outbound Eisenhower Saturday

CHICAGO – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced today that sewer repairs on the outbound Eisenhower Expressway (Interstate 290), between Westchester Boulevard and Wolf Road, in Hillside, will require a temporary closure of the left lane, weather permitting, from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, May 17.

The ramps will not be impacted and at least two outbound lanes will remain open.

The public should expect delays and allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
