U.S. 150 in Chrisman to close Nov. 11

CHRISMAN – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that Pennsylvania Street (U.S. 150) in Chrisman will close Nov. 11.

The closure is necessary for the Decatur & Eastern Illinois Railroad to repair its crossing just south of Grant Avenue and is expected to last two to three days. A detour will be posted.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. To avoid the work area, when feasible, use of alternate routes should be considered. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.
