U.S. 150 lane closure in East Peoria begins Nov. 12

EAST PEORIA – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that the left lane of westbound U.S. 150 (War Memorial Drive) as it approaches the McClugage Bridge in East Peoria will close Nov. 12.

The closure is necessary to accommodate ongoing construction on the new eastbound McClugage Bridge and is expected to last about a month.

The eastbound McClugage Bridge is being replaced after more than 70 years of serving the Peoria metro area. Scheduled for completion later this fall, the new structure will deliver improved capacity and safety, reduced travel times and bicycle and pedestrian accommodations.
