U.S. 67, 136 lane closures set July 9-11
Sign replacement in downtown Macomb
MACOMB – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that daytime lane closures along U.S. 67 and U.S. 136 in downtown Macomb begin July 9.
The lane closures are necessary for crews to replace overhead signs and will begin at 8 a.m. each day through July 11.
Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. To avoid the work area, when feasible, use of alternate routes should be considered. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.
