Wildcat Drive to close at Illinois 37 for approximately two months

MARION – The Illinois Department of Transportation today announced that Wildcat Drive will be closed at the intersection of Illinois 37 in Marion starting, weather permitting, at 7 a.m. Monday, June 2.

The closure is necessary to construct a new roundabout at Illinois 37 and Wildcat Drive and is expected to remain in place through Friday, Aug. 8.

Message boards, signage and other traffic control devices will be in place to guide drivers through the area.

Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to choose alternate routes during this time. ​ Drivers are urged to reduce speed, be alert for changing conditions, obey all construction signage, and refrain from using mobile devices while approaching and traveling through the work zone.
