Work underway on Airport Road in Rock Island County
DIXON – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced today that construction is underway on Airport Road in Rock Island County. The work zone is from just east of the Rock Island-Milan Parkway and north of the Quad Cities International Airport.
Work will consist of pavement patching and resurfacing. There will be daily lane closures controlled by flaggers during the project, which is expected to be completed in August.
Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zone areas, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.
